The Timex brand as we know it was launched in 1941 as a subsidiary of the United States Time Corporation. As a result “US Time” can be found stamped on the back of Timex watches well into the 1950s as well as other brands such as Kelton and Saga.

Most 1940’s Timex were small by todays standards and used a simple time only M21 movement with no sweeping seconds hand. Cases were chrome or gold plated and crystals acrylic. Models were given a simple better code with Kelton optiming to brand pieces with the names of English counties.l

I love Timex from the 1950’s and would love to have them all but finding the cases and movements in good and working conditions is a challenge.
