1960’s vintage Timex watches saw many memorable moments. Cases and dials were larger, There were significantly more models produced with automatic, calendar and day-date complications and movements transitioned from the M21 and M22 to the arguably more serviceable M24/5/7 manual wind and M31/2/3 automatic calibers.
The 1960’s Timex saw the production of one of my favorite watches, the Skin Diver which was produced with and without a calendar complication and 25 meter (60 foot) depth rating, and the in my opinion superior all steel 600 feet (180 metres) version.
Other collectors favorites released in the 1960’s by Timex include the 100 range, Bayonet, 400 series with its Satoshi (Seiko) and AS-ST movements, black dialed sprite and last but not least the Marlin model that was so popular that Timex reissued it in 2017.
