Many collectors love 1970s Timex watches. It was in the 1970s that Timex fully embraced pop culture and began creating colourful dials with intricate designs. This was of course not unique to Timex but the direction most watch manufacturers went. From eliptical UFO dial watches to brightly coloured dive watch dials, chunky cased automatics and Timex’s first forway into quartz, the 1970s saw much innovation.
Who would know that in a few short years after the 1970s that Timex would cease the production of mechanical watch movements all together.
