Timex 400 6064 7060 [1960]

Year: 1960
Reference: 6064 7060
Model: Timex 400 Series
Movement: m70
Case: Gold plated over base metal
Complication: Jeweled manual wind movement
Special Features: Durowe 542 movement. Textured swirl pattern on dial.

Instead of the standard pin plate movement seen in most vintage Timex, this Timex 400 Series watch has a bought-in movement. The reliable and German made Durowe 542 is a 17 jewel movement that is potentially more easily serviced.

The stand out feature of this Timex 400 is the spiraling swirling dial. This and the unusual (for Timex) movement makes 400 series watches highly collectible. Embossed stick markers varying from double to triple lines adorn the dial. Simple gold stick hands are highly legible. Printed on the dial are the words TIMEX, 400 and 17 Jewels.

Hi, My name is Mark Rushworth AKA Timetrope on Social Media. Ive been collecting Timex watches for a little over three years. From day one the community of collectors have been very patient and generous for the most part which has kept my interest and engagement in the hobby.

'Ive set up this website partly as a way of cataloging my collection and its many gaps, and as a way of paying forwards the kindness offered to me by Knut, Ian and others (you know who you are).
