Unlike standard vintage Timex watches, the Timex 400 series imported jeweled movements from notable manufacturers. This watch uses a 17 jewel Japanese Hatori movement, a company that which later became Seiko. This makes the Timex 400 range highly collectible.

The case is chrome plated base metal with a domed acrylic crystal. The dial is white with alternating arabic numerals and white stick markers which are embossed. On the outer edge of the dial this Timex 400 has printed seconds track and lume pips at 5 second intervals. The hands are unlumed and chrome plated. Printed on the dial are the words TIMEX, 400 and 17 JEWEL

Hi, My name is Mark Rushworth AKA Timetrope on Social Media. Ive been collecting Timex watches for a little over three years. From day one the community of collectors have been very patient and generous for the most part which has kept my interest and engagement in the hobby.

'Ive set up this website partly as a way of cataloging my collection and its many gaps, and as a way of paying forwards the kindness offered to me by Knut, Ian and others (you know who you are).
