Timex Electronic watches bridge the gap between Timex’s electro mechanical Electric watches and the later quartz watches. In Electronic watches the mechanical components were reduced in favour of a solid state architecture, making more use of diodes and transistors.

The balance wheel was still present in these Electronic movements which in my book makes them highly collectible.
