Looking at the Cavatina branded box housing this vintage Timex Fun Timer from 1968, I suspect it was designed as a ladies/girls watch. However, its quite large and i think a fun watch to wear as a man. The case is a one-piece case made of Dupont Delrin and is pink. This style of case was not seen again until 1981 when the Timex military watch was produced and later as the Timex Camper.
The dial of this Timex Fun Timer features over sized numerals at 12 3 6 and 9 with the gaps made up from black printed dot markings. The hands are black and there is no sweeping seconds hand. This was likely to make the watch more durable. Also printed on the dial is the brand TIMEX.
As a one-piece cased watch access to the movement is done by removing the crystal and unscrewing the crown from the stem. This allows the dial and stem assembly to be removed from the case in one piece.
The watch was sold on a pink bund strap, adding to the durability of the wear.
