Timex Marlin 1960’s

Brand: Timex
Model: Timex Marlin
Movement: M24 (Manual Wind)
Year: Unknown – likely 1960’s
Dial Code: N/A
Dial Markings: Great Britain

This vintage Timex marlin does not feature in any known magazine or advertisement but resembles other marlins produced in the 1960s. This is likely due to a lack of material about watches manufacturered in the UK.

The Case is gold plated base metal. The dial is champagne and features pressed numerals at 12 and 6 o-clock. The rest of the dial features pressed markers. The hands are gold and do not contain lume. Printed onthe dial in black are the words TIMEX and WATER RESISTANT. The watch houses the caliber M24, a manual wind movement.

Hi, My name is Mark Rushworth AKA Timetrope on Social Media. Ive been collecting Timex watches for a little over three years. From day one the community of collectors have been very patient and generous for the most part which has kept my interest and engagement in the hobby.

'Ive set up this website partly as a way of cataloging my collection and its many gaps, and as a way of paying forwards the kindness offered to me by Knut, Ian and others (you know who you are).
