Special Features: Rated to a depth of 600 feet (180m)

This is one of my favorite vintage Timex dive watches, No 2 on my list to be precise. The increase in depth rating from the standard 25m (60ft) to 600 feet makes this a true dive watch. There is some speculation that a version of this watch was used by the french military however i have yet to find evidence of this.

This Vintage Timex Skindiver features an unusual stainless steel case which differs from other divers of the era which are chrome plated. This is likely to accommodate the increased pressure on the watch at depths beyond 25 meters.

The bezel is painted plastic, bi-directional and friction fit with elapsed time markings.

The dial on this vintage Timex dive watch is black with thickly lumed arabic and block markers. The edge of the dial has a printed seconds track. Printed on the dial are the words TIMEX, WATER RESISTANT and 600 FEET.

The hands are lumed and combine a syringe and arrow hand with a sweeping seconds hand tipped with an arrow.

Hi, My name is Mark Rushworth AKA Timetrope on Social Media. Ive been collecting Timex watches for a little over three years. From day one the community of collectors have been very patient and generous for the most part which has kept my interest and engagement in the hobby.

'Ive set up this website partly as a way of cataloging my collection and its many gaps, and as a way of paying forwards the kindness offered to me by Knut, Ian and others (you know who you are).
