Timex Dive Watch
Its a humble brag but i have arguably the most complete collection of mechanical Timex dive watches in the world. This is largely due to a massive amount of support from other collectors (Hi Peter) and the epic skills of @thetimexking in helping me to resurrect them. Timex started producing their dive watch ranges in the late 1960s with the launch of my personal favorites, the Skin Diver which was arguably a homage to the Submariner. Through the 1970s Timex found their own style and designed pieces with incredibly colorful dials. Later migrating to Electric/Electronic and Dynabeat mecha-quartz watches and finally embracing quartz mechanisms.
Vintage Timex dive watch models range from deep 600 feet/180 meter skin divers through to 60 feet/25 meter dive watches. Some models feature these meter depth ratings on the dial and are for markets outside of the US which doesn’t use the metric system.
If you want to keep your focus narrow then vintage Timex dive watch models would be the pieces to collect IMHO.
