Timex Made in Great Britain

Timex started making watches in the UK in 1947, later moving to their controvertial factory in Dundee, Scotland in 1958. This continued until 1993 when Timex closed its UK operation, moving production to the far east.

Watches produced in the UK featured the text “Made in Great Britain” printed on the dial.

As manufacture became distributed dials started to feature “dial england” with other components and assembly being done overseas.
