This is my #1 favorite vintage Timex. It is the perfect size (maybe a little small for some people),. The case is a little bulbous and the dial detail plays with the light really well.
Collectors have varying nick names for this vintage Timex Viscount mainly focused on the radial pattern on the dial. I’ve heard it called an LP dial, Vinyl Record dial and other similar names.
The case is chrome plated base metal topped with an acrylic crystal. The dial is black and embossed not only with its signature groove design but with chromed numerals at 12 3 6 & 9 and diamond shaped markers. There is a white printed seconds track around the edge of the dial with lume pips every 5 seconds. The hands are chromed with lumed centers. The dial features the words TIMEX and SELF-WIND printed in white text. At the bottom of the dial can be read MADE IN U.S.A.
