This vintage Timex Viscount men’s watch watch has “AUTOMATIC” positioned in the top half of the dial. There is another version of this watch which shares the reference but has this text is positioned on the bottom half of the dial. This is potentially due to manufacturing differences from plants worldwide. As a sports watch this Timex Viscount has a plastic, silver colored bezel with numbers tracking every 10 seconds/minutes. The case is chrome plated over base metal with beveled lugs at the top and bottom. The dial is black with horizontal white and orange stripes crossing the center. White lumed markers and a printed seconds track edge the dial. The hands are black and white with lumed centers. The sweeping seconds hand is orange. This dial has a date window edged with a white frame.

This watch has many nicknames but none that have stuck firm in the minds of collectors. Its also considered a dive watch.
