Todd Snyder Watches
Todd Snyder is a New York fashion designer that created is own brand in 2011. He has collaborated with Timex for many years to produce quartz and mechanical watches with some designs drawing from Timex’s vintage catalog.
Examples of vintage Timex inspired watches include:
Art of Pride. A mechanical watch based on the color flicks ranke, a previous Timex collaboration with designers Pakter Krauss. This time Todd Snyder released this model in conjunction with pride week.
Black Jack and Bullseye. 2 up-scaled quartz watches based on children’s watches from the 1970s that featured highly graphic dial designs.
Southampton. Todd Snyder took Timex’s first chronograph watch and removed all of this functionality. The result is a quartz time only watch that retains a chronograph’s dial markings.
“Military” watch. A quartz up-scaled version of the 1977 Timex Viscount used by the Australian National Railway.
Milano. Another up-scaled quartz watch. This time taking a mechanical dive watch design from 1972 and removing the bezel. This watch was available in alternative colors.
